Thank you Farmworker Women

Categories: #52Women52Weeks

Today we celebrate all of the Women Farmworkers in the #YakimaValley! YWCA Yakima is on a mission to empower women. #52women52weeks was created to celebrate and highlight the amazing women & #SHEros in the #yakimavalley.
Let’s bring voice to #FarmWorkerAwarenessWeek and spread the message of how essential farmworkers are the root of our supply chain and ensure the availability, quality and safety of our fresh food.
OIC of Yakima is collecting long-sleeve shirts from March 26th to April 2, 2022 to help protect farmworkers from pesticide exposure and heat-related illnesses. You can drop off long-sleeve shirts at the following locations:
OIC Main Office:
815 Fruitvale Blvd, Yakima
OIC Food Bank
1419 Hathaway St, Yakima
