What is one word that describes you perfectly?
Persistent.
What advice would you give to the next generation of female leaders?
Be your best self. Work hard and be a person that YOU would follow. Don’t be afraid to speak up and defend what you believe in. Always have new goals and/or learn something new every day and be of service in your community. Serving on a board or volunteering at an agency that serves others is very empowering and gives you a chance to learn about the place where you live, work and play in. If you are going to be an effective leader, you must first go out and learn about who it is you are leading, what changes need to happen in your community, what important issues are people facing and how can you best serve in your community.
If you could have one super power what would it be?
HEALING. To cure people of addiction to drugs and alcohol. I have seen it destroy too many lives, rip apart families and destroy communities.
How do you measure success?
Success means many things to me. It means having worked hard to build a business that helps thousands of people every year get to their important medical appointments. Having staff and drivers who are happy to be here because they feel valued and like they are part of something important. It means having a supportive husband of 25 years who is a man of integrity and honor and is my best friend and who I am so proud of. It means raising three daughters, having 11 grandchildren and one great grandson and many wonderful friends and it means living in a community that I am proud to serve and work in. It is all about balance. That I am able to suit up and show up every day and be there for those that need me the most and still have time to go for a walk in the evening with my husband and dogs or have dinner and visit with a good friend and play with my grandchildren. It means that I have a life that I love, and that I am very proud of.
I am empowered by ________________?
Possibilities. I know it is possible to do anything you put your heart, mind and soul into. My family. They make me want to be a better person every day.
Optional: What is your occupation?
